Installing Eudora Light
| Locate the Eudora Light self-extracting archive file (EUL303.exe) on the distribution CD or download a copy from this site. Double click the file with the left mouse button to run the program. Press the next button. | ![]() |
| Read the License agreement provided. You must press Yes to indicate that you accept the agreeement to continue. | ![]() |
| If you are using Windows95 or WindowsNT then you should install the 32 bit version. Install the 16 bit version only if you are running Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups. Press Next. | ![]() |
| This panel allows you to select the install options. Unless you have minimum hard drive storage space you should install all three options. Press Next. | ![]() |
| The destination directory is not too important if you will be accessing only one mailbox. If you will be using Eudora Light to access more than one mailbox you should choose a different destination directory for each box. In that case we recommend that you simply name the destination directory the same as the UserId for that mail account. Press Next. | ![]() |
| Setup will now display the install settings it will use to complete the installation. If these are correct then press Next, otherwise press the Back button to go back to the panel you need to make the changes in. Pressing Next from this panel will allow the setup program to complete the installation. | ![]() |
| Once the installation is completed, open up a drive window in the hard drive you installed Eudora Light. If you do not have a drive icon on your desktop, double click MyComputer and then find and double click the drive icon. Open the folder (by double clicking on it) and locate the Eudora Executable. | ![]() |
| Right click once on the Eudora mailbox icon which will bring up a popup window and select "Create Shortcut". This will create a shortcut to the Eudora Light program. | ![]() |
| Using the left button, drag the shortcut out of the drive window and drop it on the desktop. Close out the drive window. | ![]() |
| On the desktop, right click on the shortcut to bring up the popup window again. Select "Rename" and rename the shortcut to the UserID that the account was created under. You are done with the installation of this mailbox. If you will be accessing more than one mailbox, go back and repeat the Software installation again, making sure that you select a different installation directory each time. Once you are finished, go to Setting up Eudora Light. | ![]() |
