Instructions for Setting up Outlook Express
If Outlook Express was installed as part of the RapidFire software then it should already be configured properly except for you UserID and Password. If you need to add a second email box go to the "Adding an additional mailbox to Outlook Express". If you are having trouble getting your email to work then go to the "Troubleshooting Outlook Express" page.
1. Run Outlook Express by double clicking the icon on the desktop
2. From the main menu, Select Tools and then Accounts.

3. From the Internet Accounts dialog box select the Mail tab.

4. High-light the Rapfire.net account if not already and Left-Click the Properties button.

5. Under the General Tab, put your name or your nickname in the name box and your email address in the E-mail Address box. Your email address is your email UserID (NOT YOUR DIALUP USERID), though they may be the same, coupled to @rapfire.net. The Organization and Reply address fields are optional.

6. Click the Server Tab. Make sure the Outgoing mail(SMTP and Incoming mail(POP3) both say rapfire.net. (without a trailing period). Under Incoming Mail Server the Log on using should be "dotte out". Place your email UserID (the first portion of your email address) in the account name and your email password in the password field. Make sure that you use lower case on both the userid and the password fie. My server requires authentication should NOT be checked.

7. Normally you should have "Connect using Internet Explorer's or a 3rd party dialer" checked. If you do not use a browser or a browser's dialer (You only use the computer for processing email) then select "Connect using my phone line". Otherwise, Outlook express will disconnect your browser connection if you are already online and attempt to dial out itself, an annoying property.
8. These are all of the adjustments and checks that you need to make to begin sending and receiving email. If you have difficulty go to Troubleshooting Outlook Express. If you need to build an additional email box go to Using multiple mailboxes.
