This 1976 Ford Mustang was my second hot rod. I originally bought it as an economy car for school, and it was for about a year or so, but I just can't seem to leave things alone. I paid $1500 for it and it had a 4 cylinder engine and a new paint job. When the picture was taken I had replaced the original engine with the one that was in my yellow truck and added a few more goodies. The engine is a 1968 302 ci engine with a Competition Cams 280 duration cam, flat top pistons, a Holly 650 dual line carburetor, Edelbrock high rise intake manifold, heart shaped heads, roller rockers and lots and lots of chrome, steel braided hoses and anodized fittings. The transmission was the stock 4 speed, I tried finding a T-5 from a newer Mustang, but they are way too expensive "if" you can find one!!! The paint is still the same as it was 3 years before when it was sprayed on and has never been waxed. The interior had custom seat covers, wrinkle black dash panel, Grant steering wheel, extra gauges, and a pretty decent stereo system. I had it in the Black Gold Days parade and car show in Glenpool Oklahoma in May of 1994. After that I traded it strait across for a 1989 fully loaded Mustang. I thought it was a pretty good trade, but I didn't want to give up my toy, but I'm sure some of you know how the married life is, ya hafta do those things sometimes!!!! I still miss my toy sometimes, I put a lot of work into it and you don't see many of these around in this condition. The only thing that keeps me going is that I still have the yellow truck, and I don't ever plan to get rid of it.....
