"302 GAS LEAKE"
1965 Ford Pickup

This 1965 Ford truck was my very first hot rod, and I still have it in my garage today. The other truck in the picture on the right is my sister’s, it is also a 1965 Ford which has since been sold. I paid $200 for mine when I was 15 years old and started building it up from there. In the picture it had a 1968 302 ci engine with a Competition Cams 280 duration cam, and flat top pistons. Everything else was pretty much stock on the motor at the time except for a few minor items. Since then it has been pulled out and put in the Mustang that you see on my pages. A 1973 429 ci big block has been put in its place. For now it is pretty much stock except for headers, a Holly 750, and some other minor goodies. I have had a lot of good times in this truck and it has seen many races through its days and has held its own pretty good. The tag on the front of it has been on it from day one, "302 Gas Leake", that has became its nickname and people around Enid still know it by that name even though it doesn't have the 302 in it any more. Future plans include complete restoration and probably going partial pro street, but I’m not completely sure just yet. Click on the pictures above and tell me what you think would be the best idea.
